Remedia is a nonprofit organization that works in international partnerships to promote the revitalization of practices of traditional medicine and other forms of traditional knowledge through innovative research, education, empowerment, and media production.

Promoting the transmission of traditional medical knowledge and the continued development of traditional healing practices is essential for the improvement of local and global health, the advancement of science, and the conservation of invaluable biodiversity.  Drawing on the strengths of both tradition and technology, we partner with indigenous elders and traditional healers to further their own training, to conduct research on traditional medicines, to train the next generation of traditional healers, and to provide programs that revitalize valuable traditional knowledge and practices for their communities.  Read more about why our work is so important!
